BLM fundraiser

2020 has been a dumpster fire…literally. And that’s putting it mildly.

I’m not much for writing out the perfect words sometimes, it’s not my gift. And I honestly don’t feel I can easily summarize many of my thoughts and feelings on everything that’s happened these past several years on politics, state of the environment, race and sexual inequality, mass shootings, and the list goes on. In response to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, many others and the protests that happened across the U.S and around the world last month for Black Lives Matter; I create a digital piece that was turned into a sticker in order to help raise money to donate to the NAACP.

Thanks to the generosity of my followers, we were able to raise and donate $400 to NAACP.

I’m still extremely proud and grateful to everyone who was able to support this cause. Even it was simply through sharing and liking the post on social media to help for visibility. I never thought I’d be able to do anything like this given my smaller audience.

There are about 40 stickers left over from the original pre-order of 100. If you missed the original pre-order but would to purchase a sticker they’re available over in my shop.

Finished up this commission yesterday for a client. I was asked to draw my client’s raid group from Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn. It was a lot of fun trying to capture everyone’s personalities and of course draw FF characters! I don’t often do digital, so it has been quite a challenge! I learned a lot during the process and I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to play around in this medium more then I usually would. Now to switch gears back to traditional paint on my next commission!

I’ve also been thinking a lot about different techniques and how I can improve in some areas. I’m excited as I’m wrapping up these last few commissions to have a little more free time to explore that and possibly get back to some personal projects I’ve had to put on hold for a while.

Thanks for looking! :)
