Do you offer commissions or do trades?

I do occasionally take a few commissions per month and will make an announcement on social media when I'm open.

For larger projects, please feel to contact me at chanelsharris@gmail.com

Yes, I love exchanging artwork with other artists and creators. I have done several trades with other artists, and it's special to exchange art with other artists.

Every commission is different, so there is no set price. Pricing will depend on the size of the piece, the materials needed, the subject, amount of details, and how long the entire project will take. I can give a better estimate on price if you include those details when contacting me.

How much do you charge for commissions?

No, absolutely not to both questions.

However, I will consider creating art for raising money for charities and awareness about various issues and natural disasters.

Do you work for free or for hire?

Firstly, I am flattered that you enjoy my art enough to make it permanent on your body! Occasionally I will take a commission request to design a custom tattoo, so please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your design. However, I still strongly recommend having a professional tattoo artist design your desired tattoo, as not all of my work will fully translate.

Sure! Please email me and let me know which piece you're interested in. Most of my work is fair game, but some of my work is off limits as it's either a private commission or client based. Also, I ask that you and the tattoo artists please give me credit if you share images online. You can credit me using the tag @chanel.colors or linking my website.

What types of supplies do you use?

Traditional Materials

Ink - I've listed a few of my favorites. All of these inks are waterproof, but double check before buying!

- Dr. PH Martin's Black Star India Ink Matte

- Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink

- Daler-Rowney FW Acrylic Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic Artist’s Inks

Watercolor - I love trying out various watercolor brands, but listed below are the ones I'm currently using.

- Holbein Artist’s Watercolor Tubes

- Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors

- Sennelier French Artist’s Watercolor Tubes

- Winsor & Newton Artist's Watercolors

Brushes - I use a ton of different brushes from various brands so it's hard to list them all, but my personal favorite is No.0, No.3, and No.9 Winsor & Newton Series 7. I use these for all of my watercolor painting and doing my line work in ink. I'm still experimenting and trying various synthetic brands that I like and work as well as my Series 7 brushes.

Paper - I absolutely love paper and I'm always trying out different brands. I tend to prefer painting on Hot Press. Here are some favorites.

- Saunders Waterford Watercolor Sheets

- Arches Bright White Watercolor Paper

- Fabriano Artistico Extra White Watercolor Paper

- Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Block

Sketchbooks - I often try various sketchbook brands but I'm currently using a Stillman & Birn sketchbook Beta Series. The Beta series is excellent for ink, watercolor, and wet media. It has quickly become one of my favorite watercolor sketchbooks.
